Famed racer and car builder Carroll Shelby died Thursday.
He was 89.
Shelby is a bona fide legend in the automotive industry, famous for inventing the Shelby Cobra and for his contributions to special edition Ford Mustangs and Chrysler’s Viper, which used to wear the Dodge badge.
USA Today published a fine news story detailing Shelby’s incredible life.
From all of us at OnAllCylinders, Summit Racing, and everyone who has ever marveled at one of Shelby’s countless contributions to the hobby we love—thank you Carroll Shelby.
The automotive industry will never be the same. Carroll Shelby died yesterday!
