A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by the store. Each Wednesday, we’ll share our parking lot find of the week—another benefit of being Powered by Summit Racing Equipment.
Last week it was Plymouth; this week it’s Studebaker—another brand that made the The 5 Vehicle Makes You Want to Resurrect list. We spotted this 1963 Grand Turismo Hawk recently, and it reminded us once again that Studebaker made some damn fine automobiles in its day. Unfortunately, when Studebaker’s original South Bend plant went away, so did the Grand Turismo Hawk after the 1964 model year.

Another beutiful car that has gone away, sadly, to say, big hugs to those who still makes them alive, Thomas, 48, Sweden :o).
I have never seen one of these before, it’s not your typical hawk! It almost looks like a custom car, I’m glad to see it is visibly original.
Studebaker had it’s share of knocks back in the day but they made some really sharp looking & performing cars. My favorite was the Avanti. Wow, is my poor eye sight seeing this for real? A set of Crager SS Mags on this beautiful Hawk?
