Street Ford magazine’s Roy Velardi is about to turn up the “wild” and “violence” quotient on Project Wild Violence, his rare XY Falcon GT replica. As you may recall, we told you all about the 1971 XY Falcon back in June—you can read the original Project Wild Violence post here. Just to spark your memory, the Falcon features:
- Mini-Tubs
- Triangulated four-link suspension
- Ford 9-inch rear-end with Currie Enterprises housing
- Ford C-4 transmission
- Custom dashboard with Auto Meter gauges
- Dynamat sound deadening material
- Wild Violet paint
What about the engine, you ask? Velarde has it covered with a twin-turbo 451-cubic-inch Ford that churns out more than 1,400 horsepower. That’s 1,409 ponies to be exact!
Check out the video below to get more details on the engine and witness the dyno runs for yourself. And be sure to hold onto something!
