Summit Racing Equipment has announced that its annual Super Summit and TruckFest shows have been merged into one mammoth event for 2013. That’s big news for lovers of all things automotive performance—and for the entire staff of OnAllCylinders.
As you may remember, we provided real-time coverage of both Super Summit and TruckFest in 2012. And we plan to do the same for this year’s show, which will simply be called Super Summit 2013. Watch for coverage this coming June—you can read the press release here:
Summit Racing Equipment, the world’s largest direct-mail and Internet supplier of high performance automotive parts, has combined its Super Summit and TruckFest shows into one giant show. The show, which will be called Super Summit 2013, will take place Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 at the Summit County Fairgrounds near Akron, OH.
Super Summit 2013 will feature hundreds of the area’s hottest street machines, musclecars, trucks, and off-road vehicles in an expanded Cruise-In. It will also include a Manufacturers Midway with hundreds of automotive, racing, and off-road manufacturers, the Summit Racing Power Experience simulator, a car-crushing display by the Summit Racing/BIGFOOT Monster Truck, a Rubicon trail with off-roading demonstrations by manufacturers, a stunt show by the TEAM FMX motorcycle stunt team, food, and more.
The show takes place from 2 pm to 9 pm on Friday, June 21 and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, June 22. Admission is free, and there will be money-saving specials at the Summit Racing Retail Store, which is located just minutes from the fairgrounds.
Summit Racing will be providing real-time, live coverage of Super Summit 2013 throughout the event via the company’s Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages. You can also chat about Super Summit before, during, and after the event by using the hashtag: #SuperSummit.
