A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by the store. We’ll share our parking lot find of the week—another benefit of being Powered by Summit Racing Equipment.
“Hey, look! A Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am!”
And then Pontiac enthusiasts worldwide collectively make this noise.
This pretty machine is a 1976 Pontiac Trans Am.
The Smokey and the Bandit version is a 1977. The most-obvious difference is the quad headlights upfront on the ’77. And of the course, the missing T-top.
But as a second-generation Trans Am, it still gets to be part of the special club. With or without a membership card, this ’76 was worth a closer look.
Pontiac need a polsih, lots of holos 😛
