A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by the store. Each Wednesday, we’ll share our parking lot find of the week—another benefit of being Powered by Summit Racing Equipment.
We recently spotted this ratted-out classic outside the Summit Racing retail store near Akron, OH.
We are unapologetic fans of the no-rules artistry that embodies the rat rod culture, and this 1928 Ford hot rod is a perfect example of that.
Scroll through the slideshow above and tell us what you think of the roadster in the comments below.
Back in about 1968 I built what would be called a “rat rod”.’29 roadster body, frame, channeled, chopped windshield & flatty. I was chastised because it didn’t have a nice paint job. Loved it though, it was mine. Wish I still had it today. I’m 71 now too old to do it again, but what memories.
