Larry Larson became the first person to make a five-second pass in a street-legal vehicle, making a 5.95-second pass in his 1998 Chevy S10 Pro Mod truck at the Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. Officially, the pass was clocked at 5.95 seconds at 244.43 miles-per-hour.
As you probably remember, Larson’s S10 became the fastest street-legal car in the world during Hot Rod Drag Week. You can learn more about that in our original Drag Week post. Now, another milestone for Larson, along with BangShift‘s Chad Reynolds who partnered with Larson on the project.
