Bubba Rope has figured out a way to replace traditional steel shackles used for off-road recovery.

Made from Plasma rope, which is the highest strength synthetic rope available, the Bubba Rope Gator-Jaw soft shackle completely eliminates the problems that typically come with steel shackles. Plasma rope material is trusted to handle marine, mining, and heavy-duty industrial applications and can easily handle your off-road and automotive needs. The Gator-Jaw is stronger than steel and offers a 32,000 pound breaking strength. It won’t rust like steel counterparts, is flexible for easy installation, and is lighter weight so it will float–no more losing shackles in the water.

Installation is easy. Simply slip the knotted portion of the Gator-Jaw around the tow point and through the eye on the other end of the shackle. There are no pins to fasten–just pull to tighten and the Gator-Jaw locks on to itself.

Not surprisingly, the Bubba Rope Gator Jaw soft shackle won the Best New Off-Road Product Award at SEMA 2014.
