U.S Military personnel now have a chance to own a Ford Mustang designed just for them.
Roush Performance has created a special version of the 2015 Mustang for members of the United States Armed Forces–the Roush Warrior Mustang. Roush has teamed up with Military Autosource to make the limited-edition pony car available exclusively to military personnel serving overseas.
The Roush Warrior Mustang is available in two versions: a 2.3L Ecoboost (Warrior T/C) model or a supercharged 5.0L GT (Warrior S/C) version. Both are available in black or red and feature a variety of enhancements from Roush Performance, which showed off the Warrior Mustang at the USAF base in Ramstein, Germany.
The Ecoboost-powered Warrior T/C includes cooling system upgrades, a larger sway bar, heavy-duty springs, a higher-performance braking system, a limited-slip rear differential, high performance gauges, 12-speaker audio system, and Roush body enhancements. The supercharged 5.0L Warrior S/C delivers 627 horsepower and includes Brembo 6-piston brake calipers, Torsen rear differential, chassis reinforcements, and Roush body components.
There will only be 30 Warrior T/C and 15 Warrior S/C models made.
Pricing for the T/C will be around $41,000; S/C pricing is around $57,000.
As an ex-military guy myself, I’m wondering what soldier wool actually get the chance to own one since there are only 45 being made! Sounds like a silly PR stunt by Rousch that means nothing.
