A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by the store. It’s alive!
Nicknamed Frankenscayne, this 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne four-door sedan is a whole different creature thanks to matte blue paint, painted rims, whitewalls, and shaved door handles. And that’s a good thing. Biscaynes were produced primarily for the fleet market but were offered to the general public as a low-dollar, bare bones vehicle.
In short, Frankenscayne is a different take on one of the most basic, run-of-the-mill vehicles from the late 1950s.
That’s what hot rodding is all about, isn’t it?
