LAS VEGAS, NV. – BluePrint Engines gave us a good look at their new Short Block Plus crate engine—a GM 383-cubic-inch-displacement short block stroker—at the 2015 SEMA show.
Three versions of this BluePrint engine are available:
One with a cast crank and hypereutectic pistons.
Another with a forged crank and hypereutectic pistons.
And a fully forged version with a forged crank and pistons.
These BluePrint crate engines were tested with machined Trick Flow cylinder heads, and made as much as 460 horsepower.

need me some trick flow heads now
What kind horsepower
Hey William, horsepower will depend a lot on the top end, namely the cylinder heads you’re using. The article says that they got to 460 hp with a set of Trick Flow heads, but cam, exhaust, intake, and EFI/carburetor will all impact your final horsepower number too.
Who makes the cam and lifters?
