What’s worse than Karaoke night at the local pub? How about being stuck in a confined space for hours while your so-called “friends” sing over the radio at the top of their lungs?
Yep — “best” roadtrip singalong song is a bit of a misnomer in our minds.
Still, you can’t deny the tunes nominated for this category are catchy and likely to cause you to crank the radio. Who knows; they may even get you singing, too. Whether you’re traversing the nation in your Impala wagon or heading for warmer weather in your Mustang convertible, you could certainly do a lot worse (remember that “Call Me Maybe” song from a few years ago?).

You make singing with your sons on a road trip sound like a bad thing! Some of my best memories are towing out of some dusty dragstrip having been there all day covered in that unique to the drags combo of rubber grease dust oil and sweat in a 20 year old Chevy crew cab that needed a tune up before the race car with the hot rod out on an open trailer behind us And even though we lost in the finals someone starts to sing ” We are the Champions” we usually carry that tune until we stop for ice cream “A day at the drags”
American Pie is my favorite “Radio Song” But I am
a Frank Zappa “HEAD” so my favorite CD/iPod is
“Over Night Sensation” & “Apostrophe” Along with
