Edelbrock continues to unleash new E-Force Superchargers for a growing and diversifying list of applications, and used the 2016 SEMA Show to introduce new kits for V8 Mustang and HEMI applications, as well as one for the MX-5 Mazda Miata.
In this video, Rob Simons, Edelbrock’s vice president of research & development, offers many more details.
While we didn’t get power numbers on the video’s two featured units, we can loosely speculate what they might be based on other E-Force Supercharger kits. The Edelbrock E-Force Mustang 5.0L Stage 1 Street Legal Supercharger Kit 1586 is rated at 255 horsepower and 188 ft.-lbs. over stock.
For the Miata, we can look to Edelbrock’s supercharging kit for the 2.0L Scion FR-S, and Toyota 86, and Subaru BR-Z where the E-Force kit provides additional gains of 77 horsepower and 57 ft.-lbs. of torque.
Simons said more new General Motors applications will become available in 2017.
