To commemorate the grand opening of the new Summit Racing retail store in Arlington, TX, NHRA driver Dan Wilkerson’s Funny Car will feature a unique graphics scheme during the upcoming AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals.

The new livery will only be used for this event and will be retired upon it’s completion. A replica of the car body is permanently installed inside the new Summit Racing retail store in Arlington.

“It is so cool that our Summit Racing Texas car will be memorialized there as part of the history of the new facility,” Wilkerson said. “It’s an honor to drive this beautiful car. The whole experience is going to be something we’ll always remember.”

Wilkerson hasn’t raced in an NHRA event since last year’s Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, NC, but has close to a decade of experience with Funny Cars in NHRA competition—as both a driver and crew chief.

Wilkerson will be one of several Summit Racing-sponsored racers at the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals, including NHRA Pro Stock drivers Jason Line and current Pro Stock points leader Greg Anderson.

Wilkerson’s father, NHRA Funny Car driver Tim Wilkerson, will race alongside his son at the FallNationals.
