It’s an objective fact that one of the worst days in any child’s life is the day that he or she must trade in Velcro shoes for lace-up ones. Besides being much easier to take on and off than their laced counterparts, the crunchy rip of tearing Velcro is right up there with well-tuned exhausts on the pleasing sound scale.
Luckily for all of us, racing apparel manufacturer Zamp has made wearing Velcro socially acceptable again with its new line of Zamp ZR-60 race shoes. Introduced during Summit Racing Equipment’s Performance Parts Expo, these shoes offer a combination of durability, light weight, and comfort capped off with easy-to-use Velcro closures.
Just thinking about it makes us want to frolic.
Each ZR-60 shoe features multi-layer, breathable construction that’s made up of a high-performance leather shell and plush fire-retardant interior. The shoes’ thin rubber soles are designed to enhance pedal feel.
Zamp ZR-60 race shoes come in a range of colors and sizes ranging from 5 to 15.
