The Blue Oval hit a proverbial home run with the release of the Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 back in 2011, largely thanks to its mix of performance, efficiency, and reliability. That winning combo (and iconic 5.0L displacement) was obviously a good fit the Mustang—but the Ford 5.0L Coyote engine was equally at home under the hood for the Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Yet there’s always room for improvement. So in 2015, Ford engineers made some key updates to the Coyote—for both the Mustang and F-150 engine versions. (If you didn’t know, there are some key distinctions between the Coyote engines found in the Mustang and F-150, most notably the truck motor’s Flex Fuel/E85 compatibility).
So that’s what we’re talking about here, the second-gen Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 for the F-150 offered from 2015 to 2017.

The second generation coyote engine in the F150 has 385 hp and 387 ft-lb of torque, not 360/380 as you state. I own one and it is an excellent engine.
