Taking place less than an hour away from OnAllCylinders World Headquarters at one of the nicest tracks on the circuit, the annual Summit Racing NHRA Nationals is our favorite drag racing event of the year. The crowds are large and friendly, the staff is welcoming, and (of course) the racing is always incredible.
And this year’s event exceeded our lofty expectations, bringing back some familiar faces and marking some big wins too—so let’s dive into our favorite NHRA Wrap-Up of the season.

2023 Summit Racing NHRA Nationals Pro Stock Results
Both Matt Hartford and Dallas Glenn have been solid throughout the 2023 season, so it was no surprise to see them facing off against each other on Sunday. Yet some early tire spin from Glenn’s car let Hartford speed to victory with an impressive 6.624 second, 207.02 mph run. Congratulations to Matt Hartford and his team on a well-earned win!

2023 Summit Racing NHRA Nationals Top Fuel Results
Leah Pruett notched her first victory of the season, aided by a number one qualifying effort. But her final round foe was none other than Justin Ashley, fresh off his win at the Thunder Valley Nationals earlier this month. After a solid launch from both cars, Ashley smoked the tires and Pruett raced to the Wally with a 3.761 second, 326.79 mph pass.

2023 Summit Racing NHRA Nationals Funny Car Results
It’s always a good feeling to report on wins like Blake Alexander’s this past weekend. After clawing his way into a final round showdown with the always-fierce Matt Hagan, Alexander cut a razor-sharp 0.028 second RT on his way to a 3.935 second, 321.96 run, besting Hagan’s 3.991 @ 327.90. The victory is Alexander’s first in an NHRA Funny Car after transitioning back from Top Fuel in 2019.
