In the market for a new Hemi engine for your project vehicle? Keep reading, because the folks at Power Automedia and EngineLabs have just announced the 2023 Engine Build Giveaway, presented by Summit Racing.
The engine in question is a Whipple supercharged 426ci Gen. 3 HEMI that’s being built by Late Model Engines—with a target goal of 1,200 horsepower. Better still, the engine will be built live in front of the crowds at the annual Performance Racing Industry trade show this December.
“Summit Racing Equipment is pleased to once again partner with Power Automedia in this engine giveaway. The iconic Hemi is the perfect powerplant for this big horsepower build and we look forward to watching it all come together live at PRI.
“Summit Racing Equipment carries a full range of parts and accessories for the Gen. 3 Hemi, which includes our Summit Racing™ Pro HEMI performance parts. We look forward to meeting the winner and being a trusted source for parts, installation tools, and anything else needed to maintain the engine for years to come.”
Al Noe, Summit Racing Equipment Chief Marketing Officer

I would love to win this, I would put it in my son’s Dodge 95 1500. He is a Marine out and about and would love to Suprise him with this when he comes back State side. We have been wanting to fix it up for sometime. He inherited the truck from his Nana, so it makes it very special to him. This would be a great start to restoring it. Thanks for the opportunity!!
If I won this engine, I would figure out what would I do with it. I love Mopar engine. They are powerful engines. The performance is out of this world. They kicked alot of ass on the streets and the strip.
I have 2010 srt 8 Challenger that is begging for this swap!
I have an old 1965 pickup truck. Solid truck. Nothing too fancy. This engine would make the truck an altimate “Sleeper”.
My Jeep Cherokee (original version) is beginning to smoke and I will need a replacement engine. I would like an upgrade in power to keep up with the “throttle heavy” dri vers around here.
I have a 327 block, 283 crank and Keith Black 134 pistons. If I have the pistons fit in the block what length rods will I need? The block and crank are small journal. Thanks Dan
Hey Dan, Click here to contact the Summit Racing tech folks. They’ll ask you some more specifics on your SBC build to make sure you’ll get the right connecting rod length you’ll need.
It would be a cool motor for my 69 charger,or 71 , 66, or perhaps my 33 Plymouth 3 window .Anyhow it would be at home here.
Love to put this in my 2004 Ram 1500 Larmie short box. Solid southern truck with a 5.7 hemi & dressed out as an SRT from the orginal dealer in SC.
If I won that Sucker I’d give it to my Grandson, he has a Emasculate 2000 Dodge 4×4 short bed. It’s his pride & joy.
Have access to a 1955 Plymouth 2 door wagon. This motor would make a sweet street gasser.
I have 64 polora post car Hemi would make it Stroll
Would love to swap this in my 2015 Challenger R/T. Way more power than the 530 to the wheels it makes now. (Mild Whipple build)
