The off-road community had been anxiously awaiting a new Jeep truck since the Comanche ended production in the early 1990s. So when the Jeep Gladiator truck debuted in 2020, it quickly became a common sight on the roads and trails across the United States.
Given the popularity of the Jeep Gladiator JT, the Summit Racing folks brought one into their studio to transform it into an even more versatile all-rounder. The goal was to create a Jeep truck capable of bringing you—and all your gear—wherever your adventures take you. See the whole project unfold in the Roamin’ Gladiator Jeep Build Series from Summit Racing.

Part 4, Serious Off-Road Protection & Trail Armor
Not wanting to have a tree stump, boulder, or rock pile ruin a fun day’s ride, the Summit Racing folks bolt-on a set of rugged off-road bumpers fore and aft, along with a clever set of stout rock sliders that hide retractable automatic truck steps. Finally, a winch gets tucked into the front bumper, to ensure the Jeep Gladiator truck can get itself out of whatever situation it drives into.
In keeping with the spirit of the Roamin’ Gladiator build series, all of these upgrades are basic bolt-ons that you can install with a typical complement of basic hand tools (and maybe a buddy or two to help). Watch for yourself in Episode 4 of the Roamin’ Gladiator Jeep series from Summit Racing.
