There’s no doubt that the C8 Corvette and 2024+ S650 Ford Mustang GT are potent performers right off the showroom floor.

But for the Corsa folks, that’s when the party starts.

So it’s no surprise they were showing off a pair of air intakes for both models at the 2024 SEMA Show. And to get the story behind each one, we reached out to our pal Slater Morton with Corsa Performance.

With its dual throttle bodies and requisite dual intake sections, the 5.0L Coyote in the S650 Mustang GT demanded some engineering expertise—and Corsa delivered.

“It uses this full clear lid and uses the stock OEM intake manifold box,” Slater explains. “That saves some install headaches and helps us get these kits CARB compliant as well.”

While it’s still in the certification process, thanks to the better-than-stock intake design, Slater tells us that Corsa expects to have this intake kit CARB compliant by early 2025.

But what’s even neater is that the Corsa engineers figured out how to integrate a catch can into the design.

“It actually goes right in the middle of this,” Slater says as he grabs a section of the tubing and demonstrates how easy it’ll be to service the can itself once the setup is installed.

When it goes on sale, the intake will carry part number CSE-44013D.

Corsa actually offers a two-fer for the C8 ‘Vette.

It starts with the cold air intake kit, part number CSE-4403D. The kit features 100 percent carbon fiber construction and improves airflow over the stock intake to deliver more horsepower and torque—no tune required.

Then, Corsa offers a slick carbon fiber trunk panel—part number CSE-4409—that seals up and protects its air intake kit. And what’s really neat is the panel’s see-through window, which allows you to check out the kit and inspect the air filter elements inside without removing anything.

In addition to its multi-layer carbon fiber construction, the panel incorporates reflective heat shielding designed to protect the intake inside. The panel fits both C8 Stingray and C8 Z06 models.

“They’re in stock, ready to go,” Slater tells us.

And then he mentions that Corsa will have an intake kit specifically for the C8 Z06 coming out in the early part of 2025 as well.
