The folks at Custom Autosound have always been good at packing modern car stereo tech into a vintage-looking wrapper…

…but they’ve outdone themselves this time with the USA-850 Series.

That sure looks like a vintage radio dial, doesn’t it? But move in a bit closer and you’ll see that it’s actually a full digital display. And yes, the tuning needle moves as you spin the knob to find your station—just like the old days.

Called the “DigaDial”, the slick Custom Autosound display has four modes that you can flip from retro to modern with the push of a button. That means you can get a hybrid display that has some old school flair, but still lets you see handy information like the station you’re listening to, and the song that’s being played.

That’s a win-win in our book. And the SEMA judges agree too, as the USA-850 grabbed a coveted 2024 SEMA New Product Award in the “Best New Mobile Electronics Product” category.

But the USA-850 is way more than a pretty face here. As you’d expect, Custom Autosound packs it with a ton of other modern car radio features.

You can stream music and answer phone calls via Bluetooth, listen to your own digital audio files from a USB flash drive, or plug-in an external audio source (like an outboard CD player) via the rear RCA inputs.

Custom Autosound says the USA-850 car audio player will fit in 450 different classic vehicles—without cutting or altering the original dash or radio opening. The radio comes with a simple three-wire power harness and speaker wire harness that’s all clearly labeled for an easy install too.

So, if you’re looking for a new car stereo with a modern digital interface—yet still looks like it was plucked from a 1960s parts bin—then you’ve got to check out the USA-850 from Custom Autosound.
