For all its advantages, the LS has a few notable drawbacks—with a non-adjustable valvetrain perhaps being the most prominent. While that’s not a big deal for most engine builders, it does mean that proper pushrod length is critical and, just as important, you’ve got to make sure you install your pushrods and rocker arms the correct way.
