If you’re building a Big Block Chevy and fitting it with bigger, taller valvetrain components, then you’ll likely run out of room under the stock valve covers. But just grabbing a taller valve cover isn’t always going to work, as you may run into clearance issues with your engine’s air cleaner or other top-end parts.
So the fine folks at Proform Parts grabbed their calculators and went to work on a solution.
The result is an entire suite of officially licensed slant-edge valve covers designed for the Big Block Chevy. Not only do they offer more room for your valvetrain, the slant edge provides critical clearance up top for your carb/throttle body, ignition wires, and air cleaner. And these valve covers come in a wide range of styles and colors, from black to orange to chrome and beyond, logo or no logo.
They’re the perfect complement to some of Proform’s other accessories, like its air cleaners and breather caps as well.
With such a smorgasbord of options on display, the Summit Racing folks had to stop by the Proform Parts booth at the 2022 SEMA show to get the scoop on all these parts. Here’s what they discovered:
