Not surprisingly, the folks at ARB and Old Man Emu have been hard at work innovating for the camping and overlanding crowd. The result is their latest product: the MT64 shock absorber.
So what do we mean when we say “modular handling and stability?”
Slotted between Old Man Emu’s iconic Nitrocharger shock and its ultra high performance BP-51, the MT64 shock is designed for daily drivers, but it will also work well with vehicles loaded down with campers, camping gear, and overlanding accessories. That’s because the shock features a grooved body that allows users to choose the optimum ride height, depending on what accessories are added to the vehicle.
The MT64 name is taken from the shock’s design and size. It’s a monotube design with a 64mm (or 2.5 inch) bore size. In short, this shock is almost overbuilt to handle the rigors of the trails. It also has a 2.8 inch body, 7/8 inch diameter shaft, and forged aluminum eyelets.
