Columbus, Ohio – It’s no secret that the vintage truck and SUV market is blazing hot right now. From the humble Squarebody to the beloved Bronco, these trusty haulers have equaled (or perhaps even surpassed) the popularity of evergreen classics like the Tri-Five Chevy and 1932 Ford.

And with the Goodguys rolling eligibility window creeping ever-forward, it means that the truck field is about to get really interesting—because we’ve now reached the arrival of the iconic “sport truck” era. Starting in the early 1980s, compact trucks like the S-10, Ranger, and Comanche brought an entire generation of gearheads into the hobby, spawning the sport truck scene in the process.

In other words, we’re seeing a lot more Alpine head units, slammed body kits, V8 swaps, and vibrant paint jobs—and we couldn’t be happier about that, either.

See for yourself, and check out this mix of awesome truck and SUV models we came across during the 2024 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals.

We’ll have plenty more photo galleries and vehicle features in the coming weeks, so click here to see all of our Goodguys event coverage. That way, you’ll be able to check out what’s new.
