Auburn, Indiana is the former home of the Auburn Automobile Company which, in addition to its own iconic boat-tail Speedsters, also housed the luxury Cord and Duesenberg marques.
While the Auburn Automobile Company ultimately succumbed to financial pressures stemming from The Great Depression, The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum now resides in the Art Deco halls of the company’s former headquarters.
Better still, each year in the late summer/early fall The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival serves as a homecoming for these vintage luxury cars. In fact, we got wind of a caravan of incredibly rare Duesenbergs rolling through northeast Ohio on their way to the ACD Festival and—well, duh—we had to go check them out.
Special thanks to OnAllCylinders contributor Nicole Courey for her photography.
