David Miller and his team of master craftsmen at Brand New Muscle Car are building one of the most iconic Mustangs, a 1967 fastback—and you can see it come together as BNMC returns to the airwaves (cablewaves?) with Brand New Muscle Car: Mustang Restomod on MotorTrend TV.

Brand New Muscle Car: Mustang Restomod follows David and the BNMC crew as they build the ‘67 to celebrate the Mustang’s 60th anniversary. We don’t want to give away the store, but this car will have an all-new, Ford-licensed body shell, a 750 horsepower 427 cubic inch small block Ford backed by a Tremec six-speed transmission; a coilover front and four-link rear suspension; four-wheel disc brakes; and what BNMC calls a ‘scorched candy apple red’ paint job. Keep that to yourself, will ya?

This isn’t BNMC’s first tee-vee rodeo. Their 1969 Yenko Camaro 427 S/C replica and a 5.0L Coyote-powered first-gen Bronco builds were aired on Velocity TV (now MotorTrend) in 2018 and 2019. You can get in the virtual wayback machine and watch those shows on the Masters Entertainment YouTube channel.

If the idea of a brand new 1967 Mustang fastback sounds good to you, BNMC will be happy to build you one exactly the way you want it. If you don’t like Mustangs, they’ll be happy to build you a first- or second-gen Camaro, Chevelle, Challenger, early Chevy truck, or Bronco, all based on brand new steel bodies. Visit the Brand New Muscle Car website to learn more.

Episode 1 of Brand New Muscle Car: Mustang Restomod airs on MotorTrend TV Sunday, October 6 at 9 am EST. The show airs weekly through December 29, 2024.

Our Canadian friends can watch the show on REV’N TV starting Saturday, October 5 at 9 am EST. Things happen earlier up north, apparently.

We’ll be posting updates on the Mustang as the build progresses. In the meantime, meet the BNMC team and get a peak at the concept illustration.

Dave Miller and his merry band of craftsmen at Brand New Muscle Car are masters at building muscle car and classic truck restomods. As the shop name says, all of their builds are based on brand new sheetmetal, chassis, and drivetrains—no messing with old rusty junk for them. BNMC’s latest project is a 1967 Mustang fastback based on this concept illustration. Don’t tell anyone we told you, but the car will have a 750 horsepower 427 cubic inch small block Ford backed by a Tremec six-speed transmission; a coilover front and four-link rear suspension; and what BNMC calls a ‘scorched candy apple red’ paint job.
