Have you ever dreamed of hopping in a time machine to go back to the 1960s, so you could buy a classic musclecar fresh off the showroom floor?

…Well, as it turns out, you won’t have to bend the space-time continuum to do that anymore.

That’s the idea behind the Brand New Muscle Car shop and its eponymous show on MotorTrend TV.

The team at BNMC essentially builds a new “vintage” muscle car from the ground up, using all-new parts so you get a modern car, with modern reliability, in a completely authentic retro wrapper.

…Which brings us to this jaw-dropping 1967 Ford Mustang.

Built to coincide with the Mustang’s 60th birthday and revealed at the 2024 SEMA Show, this slick fastback is a testament to the quality of work that the Brand New Muscle Car folks put into each vehicle they make.

This build starts with a laser straight, brand new fastback body shell that’s got a 1967 VIN plate and corresponding title.

And beneath that gorgeous “Scorched Apple” paint job resides some serious hardware.

The party gets really good under the hood, where instead of a 289 or heck, even a 390, you’ll find a 427ci fuel injected and supercharged Ford Windsor V8. All in, the boosted powerplant cranks out around 750 horsepower—a far cry from the 320 hp of the top-dog 390 4V from 1967.

Those ponies are reined-in by a Tremec six-speed manual before they’re sent to a Ford nine inch rear end.

And the BNMC team didn’t just focus on the driveline—the Mustang has a full IFS up front and a custom four-link out back, along with disc brakes all-around.

Inside is a deluxe reworked interior with modern instrumentation.
