A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by the store. Each Wednesday, we share our parking lot find of the week.
To keep things spicy and interesting, we decided to take a look back at 2013 and revisit some of our favorites.
Here’s what we came up with, in no particular order. Be sure to click the links for more photos of each car.
Twin-Engined Studebaker hot rod
This car came through Summit Racing in Ohio on its way to Goodguys in Columbus. It’s awesome. And not just because it has two engines.
1967 Ford Mustang
This is the toughest, baddest, raddest pony one of us has ever seen because he is a sucker for matte black paint jobs.
Custom DeSoto Street Rod
This vintage 1949-’52 DeSoto is one sweet machine. We love the beefy grille. We love the two-toned paint job and color choice. And we just love customs. It’s a weakness.
1971 Dodge Challenger
There’s nothing particularly special about this ’71 Challenger, not counting the fact that it’s a venerable classic that we want in our garage.
1958 Ford Ranch Wagon
The ultimate party wagon for hot rodders? Maybe. Like the Chevy Nomad, this may be the sweetest road-tripping machine to come out of the 1950s.
