First, it was the Hellcat.
Then, the Hennessey Mustang.
Now, the 2015 Corvette Z06 is the latest in the line of late model muscle cars to produce a jaw-dropping spec.
0-60 mph in 2.95 seconds.
Let that sink in for a moment.
The 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 is the fastest car GM has ever made. It reportedly ran the quarter mile in under 11 seconds at 127 miles per hour, and “GM spokesman Monte Doran says GM believes it to be the first front-engine, rear-wheel-drive production car to break the three-second barrier.”
The Z06 is powered by a supercharged V8 that makes 650 horsepower. It goes on sale in early 2015 and will cost nearly $80,000.
Is that enough to make you reconsider your 2015 options? Would you rather have the 707-horsepower Challenger SRT Hellcat or 2015 Mustang? Tell us in the comment section below!
corvette all the way.
2015 roush stage 3 mustang lol FTW
Mustang or Challenger corvette guys are the ones that when at a car show and after you talk to them you look at your friends and there like yeah he’s a corvette’s guy, muff said.
Haha, You make a good point!
Mustang!!!!! For 80k you can make anything go fast. Even a corvette!
challenger all the way!!! corvettes have always been overpriced!!!
Why are the Mustang and Challenger being compared with the Corvette, they are two different “classes” of vehicles.
Mustang dollar for dollar you are not gonna beat it ! It’s not rocket science people.
The challenger is a led sled. The vette is about 1000 lbs lighter. Also I like the looks of the vette better. It may be more expensive but you get what you pay for. The Camaro would have been a better comparison because the vette is in another class.
Corvette, without a doubt, would be my choice, although I would gladly have any of them. They’re all extremely well engineered and designed performance platforms.
2015 Supercharged Mustang GT ran the quarter in 10.98 @ 128.91… I’ll take that! Thanks!

I was interested in your reply so I looked it up, and your right that car had a better time but it was also modified for drag racing it wasn’t a factory car. Couldn’t find a quarter mile time on one that just has a supercharger, I’d be interested to know what that runs.
Corvette. All Three are really fast, but The Corvette is a nicer car, hands down (imo)
The Vette not only is fast going straight, but It will also destroy The others on a road coarse
Challenger Hellcat – the times on this are NHRA sanctioned – 11.3 STOCK and 10.8s with DOT slicks. Tops out a 199 and the 4 door Charger with the Hellcat Hemi has been unofficially clocked at 205. All this for 59,995 and the Vette is 80K+! The Dodges are the biggest bang for the buck!
…and try and corner the “lead sled” Challenger or Mustang! No comparison to the Vett when it comes to handling and overall performance!
Put that in a memo with a subject line “Sh… we already knew.” Two (really three) classes of automobile altogether. Cornering was never the point with muscle cars, and even at that, a 2015 Challenger is an exceptional handler for a 4000 lb lead sled.
HELL CAT!!! Enough said.
VETTE ! VETTE !! VETTE !!!
Where is the shiny models? For $80,000 I personally think there all out of line with the working
class. Look what happen to the Viper! , Maybe if the reduce it to $50,000. it might sell!
For all around performance out of the box and the most aggressive styling imo I’ll take the Corvette any day!!
This should really be a comparison between the vette, viper and gt. But anyway, if money wasn’t an issue I’d take the Vette if only because it’s the best looking in my opinion.
i thought the 70 ls6 chevelle ran in the 10s stock
If you have $80+k for a car get something classy like a Ferrari.
Used maybe but then you don’t want a high maintenance vehicle like a Ferrari used. Otherwise you’re closer to $200K.
