American Classic Bias-Look Blackwalls

ACR-Bias-Look-Radial-670R15-blackwallIn 2013, Coker Tire Company won the SEMA Best New Product award in the Tires and Accessories Category with its new American Classic bias look radial tire. Available in nine sizes, the new tire blends vintage looks with modern ride quality, and was introduced as a wide whitewall tire. The popularity of the new tire has resulted in expanding the product line to include blackwall tires. It’s the same great construction as the whitewall tire, but offers even more options for restored classic cars and hot rods.

The new American Classic bias-look radial tire offers the tall and narrow profile of a bias ply tire, combined with the modern qualities of a radial tire. Available in nine sizes, the new line of American Classic radials offer fitment on a number of popular applications, such as the Ford Thunderbird, Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac and many others. The range of sizes provides options for enthusiasts using 13-, 14- and 15-inch wheels, who have always been forced to choose between a bias ply or radial tire—now they can have the best of both worlds. The variety of sizes also gives hot rodders and custom car builders plenty of options for big-n-little combinations, such as 5.60R15 for the front and 8.20R15 for the rear.

Coker Tire’s new American Classic radials are made in the USA and thoroughly tested to ensure superb quality for your collector vehicle. You can trust that American Classic radials are ready for the road, but they’re also ready for the show field with beautiful styling, which includes the “pie crust” shoulder and vintage-style tread pattern. The radial internals make it the perfect choice for a car that will see plenty of miles. This is a tubeless tire, but keep in mind that tubes are required on some OEM and reproduction wire wheels.

Firestone Motorcycle Tires

Firestone-275-21 copyThe custom motorcycle market is a worldwide sensation that continues to grow with popularity, and Coker Tire is at the forefront of the market with a number of exciting products that are perfect for custom applications. Some of the most popular custom motorcycle tires are actually OE fitments that have been adapted to custom applications. Coker Tire is proud to announce the development of two new purpose-built tires for custom motorcycles, including vintage racing bikes, choppers and other custom creations.

Firestone is a legendary brand in the motorcycle community and the racing community in general. When it comes to period correct styling, Coker Tire leads the way with its Firestone products, and the new Firestone 2.75-21 and 3.00-21 tires are no exception. The straight-groove tread pattern is inspired by vintage racing tires, which had minimal tread designs, while the sidewall is smooth and clean. The two sizes are very desirable for custom motorcycles using a 21-inch wheel, as a vintage-style tire for the large-diameter wheel has not been readily available until now. Many motorcycle builders and customizers have been using Firestone Deluxe Champion rear tires, so now they can have a matching front tire in a popular size.

Firestone Dirt Track Tires for Hot Rods and Vintage Racers

Firestone-Dirt-Track-11.00-15-Rocket-InjectorNostalgic hot rods are undeniably popular, and finding the right rolling stock is a key element in building a good-looking car. Coker Tire Company understands the struggle to find vintage tires, and works hard to keep hot rodders happy when it comes time to put their creations on the road. The Firestone Dirt Track Ribbed front tires and Grooved rear tires have been a huge success, and Coker is proud to introduce two brand new Dirt Track Grooved Rear sizes for traditional hot rods and vintage racecars.

Hot rodders and vintage sprint car enthusiasts have wanted new 11.00-16 “Double Diamond” Dirt Track tires for quite some time. It was a popular size for sprint cars, and it also translated well to hot rods from the ‘70s and ‘80s. A number of famous hot rods, including “Jake’s Coupe”, the “Limefire” Deuce roadster and many more, rolled on a set of Firestone 11.00-16’s, so they made quite an impact on the hot rodding world (even though the tires were originally intended for racing).

Generally, a Firestone Dirt Track 11.00-16 is mounted to a 16×10-inch (or wider) magnesium or aluminum racing wheel, such as a Halibrand Sprint or an ET-III. And while these wheels are perfect for a traditional hot rod, they are also very rare and expensive, so Coker Tire decided to produce the same tire to fit a 15-inch wheel. This means you can mount them to a 15×10-inch wheel, which is much easier to find. The new 11.00-15 and 11.00-16 sizing is just right for traditional hot rods, and it’s also period correct for many sprint cars from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Additionally, Coker Tire has released two more new sizes, 14/31-15 and 14/31-16 for applications that need a wider rear tire.

These tires use the same four-ply nylon construction as the other tires in the Firestone Dirt Track product line. The tires are made in the USA using brand new molds to exactly replicate the original 11.00-16 sizing, and all four new sizes are DOT approved.
