Everything old is new again.
Bobby Alloway’s old-school 1933 Ford Roadster earned him a win in SEMA’s Battle of the Builders competition. The traditional hot rod earned the praise of Alloway’s peers, who named the Ford the top ride over vehicles from Ringbrothers, Chip Foose, and other top builders. The flamed ’33 Roadster features a 241-cubic-inch Red Ram HEMI with six Stromberg carburetors that hide a fuel-injected setup.
The top 10 Battle of the Builders finalists were named by judges David Freiburger, RJ deVera, and Fred Williams. However, the winner of the event was determined by owners of the top 10 vehicles, who were allowed to cast a vote for any vehicle in the top 10 but their own. In the end, Alloway’s peers named the 1933 Roadster the best of show, making the win that much sweeter.
