When Summit Racing announced plans for a fourth Retail Super Store and Distribution Center near Arlington, TX, it generated a lot of excitement among high performance enthusiasts—particularly enthusiasts in Texas.
Six months later, the partially completed facility is creating an even bigger buzz for passing motorists on nearby Interstate 20 and highway 360. As the in-progress photos show, the new facility is massive!
According to Summit Racing, the Arlington facility will be the largest of the company’s four locations. Current Distribution Centers in Ohio, Georgia, and Nevada, along with the new Texas location, will allow the mail order and Internet giant to ship to most of the continental U.S. in two days or less.
“Summit Racing is committed to providing our customers with the best possible service, and that includes fast shipping and delivery,” explained Nan Gelhard, Summit Racing Advertising Manager. “With the addition of our Texas facility, we will have four Distribution Centers. We will be able to deliver parts to more customers in the continental U.S. in just one to two days.”
The Retail Super Store is intended to be a destination for performance enthusiasts in the region, according to the Summit Racing press release announcing the store. It will allow customers to see parts in person and talk directly with a tech adviser about their projects. You will also be able to place an order on the Summit Racing website and pick it up in the store.
The facility is located on the southwest corner of Interstate 20 and State Route 360 and is expected to open later this year.
If you don’t yet have a retail store, in Texas, why am I already paying a Texas sales tax???
Ain’t government great?
Taxation is theft.
Because they have an office and employees here.
