LAS VEGAS, NV — Being at the SEMA Show is essentially one continuous “Well there’s something you don’t see every day” experience.
And sometimes, in a sea of head-turning automotive (and otherwise) wonders, you’ll find something truly unique—at least for those of us accustomed to driving only on pavement.
The “Blue Streak Beast” is such a thing. A freak, if you will. A monster.
It doesn’t possess the cleanliness of a Ringbrothers custom or a Lingenfelter Corvette. Just Frankenstein-like looks and terrifying power.
This Jeep CJ is powered by a 468 big block Chevy (which we’re assuming is a 454 bored 0.30 inch over). We’re especially fond of the hood scoop, exposed headers, and those ridiculously awesome paddle bogger digger tires on the back.
Here are a few specs.
Engine
- 468 BBC
- 13:1 compression
- 585 horsepower
Transmission
- Powerglide
- 4200 stall converter
- Trans-brake
Rear End
- Ford 9″
- 35-spline axles
- 6.50:1 gear ratio
Tires
- 33” 13 paddle bogger diggers
This cool CJ is on display in the Hayden Automotive / Blue Streak booth, and includes some of their products, including a Hayden electric fan, a Hayden remote transmission oil cooler system, Blue Streak performance race spark plug wires, and Blue Streak boot protectors.
We love it when a plan comes together.
