Volant Performance has a long history of developing some of the world’s most innovative and reliable air delivery systems, and the company’s latest performance air intake is yet another example of its proclivity for thinking outside of the box—in this case, by thinking inside of it.
Initially introduced at the 2018 SEMA Show, Volant’s new and improved line of closed-box air intakes feature a fully enclosed design that the company says offers benefits ranging from heat reduction, to maximum filtration protection in harsh environments, to a more streamlined air path. Beyond the performance considerations, these intakes also afford a new level of style with see-through tinted acrylic lids.
The new intake feature means Volant owners can enjoy the performance benefits of a closed filter box while still being able to see and easily access the filter. Plus, it just looks cool.
Other features include Volant’s high-velocity venture filter adaptor, which is designed to improve airflow by providing a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube. Learn more by watching this video of our visit to Volant’s 2018 SEMA booth:
